Abstract
The labor force in February 2018 was 772,174 people. Residents work in Maluku in February 2018 as many as 715,216 people. The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of Maluku in February 2018 was 65.02 percent. Male LFPR is higher than female TPAK. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of February 2018 was 7.38 percent. TPT in urban areas is higher than rural areas.
Over the last year, the category that experienced the largest percentage increase in working population was the category of Processing Industry. In February 2018, 66.61 percent of the population worked on informal activities, and the percentage of informal workers rose 0.47 percentage points compared to February 2017. In February 2018, there were 39.46 percent of the working population not full (less than 35 hours a week working hours ) accounted for 13.19 percent of all unemployed and 26.27 percent of part-time workers.
