Abstract
The number of poor people in Maluku in September 2018 was 317.84 thousand people (17.85 percent). Compared to March 2018, the number of poor people decreased by 2.2 thousand, while in terms of percentage the poverty rate in Maluku in September 2018 also decreased by 0.27 points.
The role of food commodities on the poverty line (GK) is far greater than non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education, and health). In the period March 2018, b. September 2018, Poverty Depth Index (P1) and Poverty Severity Index (P2) show a downward trend. This indicates that in this period, the average expenditure of the poor tends to be closer to the poverty line and the disparity in expenditure of the poor also decreases.
