Tual City experienced 0.16 percent Deflation in November 2021

Abstract

• In November 2021, 84 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities experienced inflation, while six saw deflation.
• Tual City suffered 0.16 percent deflation with a CPI of 108.77, while Ambon City experienced 1.14 percent inflation with a CPI of 108.93.
• The highest inflation was 2.01% with a CPI of 113.80 in Sintang, and the lowest was 0.02 percent with CPIs of 107.06 and 105.89 in Pontianak and Bima, respectively. Meanwhile, the largest deflation was 0.53 percent with a CPI of 107.95 in Kotamobagu, and the lowest was 0.16 percent with a CPI of 108.77 in Tual.
• In November 2021, Tual City's monthly inflation ranked 85th (2nd rank of Ambon City), Tual City's calendar year inflation rated 16th (Ambon City 3rd position), and Tual City's annual inflation ranked 49th (Ambon City 3rd rank) (Ambon City ranked 6th).
• Deflation happened as a result of a drop in many price indices across a variety of expenditure categories. With a CPI of 114.11, the food, beverage, and tobacco category experienced the greatest drop, which was -0.64 percent.
• Price fluctuations affect 78 different sorts of goods and services, the majority of which are food, beverages, and cigarettes. Tuna/komu fish, anchovies, white snapper, laying fish/momar, eggplant, lime, broiler eggs, selar fish, mackerel, and enbal gepe were among the commodities that contributed the most to the deflation in Tual City this month. 
 Meanwhile, cooking oil, rice, red snapper, papaya flowers, cars, cayenne pepper, kale, skipjack fish, tembang fish, and air transportation all saw price increases in November 2021, with the highest increases being cooking oil, rice, red snapper, papaya flowers, cars, cayenne pepper, kale, skipjack fish, tembang fish, and air transportation.
