Tual City experienced 1.44 percent Inflation in December 2021

Abstract

• Inflation in Tual City was 1.44 percent, with a CPI of 110.34, and in Ambon City, it was 0.79 percent, with a CPI of 109.79.
• In December 2021, Tual City's monthly inflation was ranked 5th (Ambon City was 32nd), Tual City's calendar year inflation was ranked 8th (Ambon City was 4th), and Tual City is ranked 8th year after year (Ambon City is ranked 4th).
• Inflation occurred as a result of increases in many price indices across a variety of expenditure categories. With a CPI of 101.83, the transportation group had the biggest increase of 4.11 percent.
• There are 87 different sorts of commodities and services that go through price fluctuations, with food, beverages, and cigarettes being the most common. Air transportation, tuna/komu fish, cooking oil, baronang fish, vehicles, flying fish/momar, cayenne pepper, rice, eggplant, and mackerel/lema were the categories of items that contributed the most to the inflation that occurred this month in Tual City. 
 Meanwhile, anchovies, white snapper, cassava leaves, spinach, long beans, sweet potatoes, cell phones, raw tofu, granulated sugar, and papaya all saw price drops in December 2021, with anchovies, white snapper, cassava leaves, spinach, long beans, sweet potatoes, cell phones, raw tofu, granulated sugar, and papaya seeing the biggest drops.
