Abstract

In March 2021, out of 90 CPI Cities in Indonesia, 58 cities experienced inflation and 32 cities experienced deflation.
Tual City experienced inflation of 0.20 percent with a CPI of 106.76 and Ambon City also experienced inflation of 0.38 percent with a CPI of 105.49
The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 1.07 percent with a CPI of 105.53 and the lowest occurred in Tangerang and Banjarmasin at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 105.66 and 107.09, respectively. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Bau-Bau at 0.99 percent with a CPI of 103.38 and the lowest occurred in Palopo at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 104.87 each.
Of the 90 HK cities in Indonesia, in March 2021 Tual City's monthly inflation was ranked 26th (Ambon City 13th), Tual City's calendar year inflation ranked 68th (Ambon City 78th) and to year Tual City was ranked 13th (Ambon City ranked 90th).
Inflation occurred due to increases in several price indexes in several expenditure groups. With the highest increase occurring in the Recreation, Sports and Culture group, which was 3.65 percent with a CPI of 112.87
There are 79 types of goods and services that experience price changes, most of which are food, beverages and tobacco. 42 types of goods and services experienced an increase in prices, with the highest increases occurring in tuna/komu fish, cayenne pepper, recreation, selar fish/kawalinya, kayang/momar fish, shallots, baronang fish/samandar, eggplant, garlic and tempeh as types. goods that contributed the most to the inflation that occurred this month in Tual City.
Meanwhile, 37 types of goods and services experienced a decline in prices in March 2021 with the highest declines occurring in air transportation, mackerel/lema, green mustard, anchovies, spinach, gold jewelry, papaya flowers, cassava leaves, limes and soft drinks.
