Abstract

• In September 2021, 34 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities experienced inflation, while 56 experienced deflation.

• With a CPI of 109.55, Tual City had 0.07 percent inflation, while Ambon City saw 0.12 percent inflation with a CPI of 107.45.

• The highest inflation was 0.60 percent with a CPI of 104.98 in Pangkal Pinang, while the lowest was 0.01 percent with a CPI of 105.96 in Surakarta. Meanwhile, the largest deflation was 0.90 percent with a CPI of 105.94 in Gorontalo, while the lowest was 0.01 percent with a CPI of 108.33 in Palu.

• In September 2021, Tual City's monthly inflation ranked 27th (Ambon City rated 24th), Tual City's calendar year inflation ranked 4th (Ambon City ranked 9) and Tual City's year-over-year inflation ranked 5th (Ambon City ranked 9). (Ambon City is ranked 86th).

• Inflation occurred as a result of increases in many price indices across a variety of expenditure categories. With a CPI of 108.77, the Education group saw the greatest growth of 3.3 percent.

• Price fluctuations affect 79 different sorts of goods and services, the majority of which are food, beverages, and cigarettes. Tuna/komu, cars, anchovies, sand, logs, academies/universities, filter kretek cigarettes, tomatoes, cooking oil, and cassava leaves were among the 47 types of goods and services that saw price increases this month in Tual City, with tuna/komu, cars, anchovies, sand, logs, academies/universities, filter kretek cigarettes, tomatoes, cooking oil, and cassava leaves.

• Meanwhile, air transportation, shallots, spinach, kangkong, cayenne pepper, wardrobe, squid fish, cucumber, mustard greens, and eggplant all saw price drops in September 2021, with the biggest drops in shallots, spinach, kangkong, cayenne pepper, wardrobe, squid fish, cucumber, mustard greens, and eggplant.
