Abstract
• In September 2022, 88 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities experienced inflation, while only two had seen deflation.
• Ambon City saw inflation of 0.3 percent and a CPI of 114.99, while Tual City saw inflation of 1.02 percent and a CPI of 115.
• The highest inflation rate was 1.87 percent in Bukittinggi, and the lowest was 0.07 percent in Merauke, with a CPI of 109.49. The highest deflation rate was 0.64 percent in Manokwari, with a CPI of 113.97, and the lowest was 0.59 percent in Timika, with a CPI of 113.87.
• Out of 90 CPI Cities in Indonesia, Tual City's monthly inflation in September 2022 was ranked 52nd (Ambon City was 87th), Tual's annual inflation was 76th (Ambon City was 64th), and Tual City is ranked 86th overall (Ambon City is ranked 30th).
• A decline in the price index across a number of expenditure areas led to inflation. The transportation industry experienced the greatest inflation rate, which was 8.47 percent with a CPI of 116.86.
• There are 94 different categories of products and services that go through pricing fluctuations. A total of 55 different goods and services saw price increases this month, with gasoline, air travel, home fuel, side dishes of rice, urban transportation, anchovies, broiler chicken, baronang fish, papaya, and water spinach all playing a significant role in the largest inflation that took place in Tual City.
• In September 2022, prices fell for 39 different commodities and services, with shallots, tuna, cooking oil, cayenne pepper, spinach, scad/benggol fish, papaya blossoms, women's Muslim clothing, eggplant, and mackerel experiencing the biggest drops.
