Abstract
• All 90 CPI Cities in Indonesia reported inflation in July 2022.
• The CPIs in Tual City and Ambon City were 114.88 and 113.72, respectively, with inflation rates of 1.66 and 1.67 percent.
• Pematang Siantar had the lowest inflation rate at 0.04 percent and Kendari had the highest at 2.27 percent with a CPI of 113.98.
• In July 2022, Tual City's monthly inflation was rated fifth among Indonesia's 90 HK Cities (Ambon City was placed fourth), 65th among Tual's yearly inflation (Ambon City was ranked 78th), and 67th overall (Ambon City is ranked 44th).
• The rise in a number of price indices across a number of expenditure categories is what caused inflation. The food and beverage/restaurant provider group experienced the biggest gain, which was 5.06 percent with a CPI of 116.43.
• The majority of the 119 different commodities and services that see price changes are food, alcohol, and cigarettes. Price rises were seen in 92 different categories of goods and services, with selar fish, mackerel/lema, cayenne pepper, baronang fish, shallots, white snapper, air travel, shallots, rice with side dishes, and tuna/komu accounting for the most of this month's inflation in Tual City.
• In the meantime, prices fell for 27 different goods and services in July 2022, with anchovies, mobile phones, spring beds, spinach, bottled water, squid, garlic, color television, washing machines, and air conditioners experiencing the biggest drops.
