Abstract
• In November 2022, 28 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities suffered deflation, and 62 of them experienced inflation.
• The CPI in Tual City increased by 0.84 percent to 114.40, while the CPI in Ambon City increased by 1.15 percent to 116.17.
• Ambon experienced the highest inflation rate (1.15 percent) and Bandar Lampung experienced the lowest inflation rate (0.01 percent) with CPIs of 113.92 and 116.17, respectively. Tanjung Pandan experienced the highest deflation rate (0.64 percent) and Bungo experienced the lowest deflation rate (0.02 percent) with CPIs of 113.42 and 113.91, respectively.
• In November 2022, out of 90 CPI Cities in Indonesia, Tual City's monthly inflation was rated third (Ambon City was ranked first), its calendar year inflation was ranked 81st (Ambon City was ranked 25th), and its annual inflation ranking is 71st (Ambon City ranks 21st).
• An increase in the price index across a number of spending categories led to inflation. The food and beverage/restaurant provider group experienced the highest inflation, at 2.28 percent and 109.45 on the CPI scale.
• The majority of the 77 different items and services that saw price changes were food, alcohol, and cigarettes. Price rises were seen in 54 different categories of products and services, with ground coffee, mustard greens, tomatoes, rice with side dishes, flying fish, ambu-ambu fish, selar fish, kale, filter clove cigarettes, mustard greens, and tuna/ambu-ambu fish experiencing the biggest increases.
• While 23 different categories of products and services saw price decreases in November 2022, cassava leaves, baronang fish, long beans, banana flowers, cooking oil, granulated sugar, bean sprouts/sprouts, mackerel, red chilies, and ceramics saw the biggest drops.
