Abstract

In July 2021, 61 of Indonesia's 90 CPI cities experienced inflation, while 29 experienced deflation.
Tual City experienced 1.16 percent inflation, with a CPI of 109.36, and Ambon City experienced 0.07 percent inflation, with a CPI of 107.44.
Sorong had the highest inflation rate of 1.51% with a CPI of 108.33, while Sampit had the lowest at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 107.10. Meanwhile, the largest deflation was 0.60 percent with a CPI of 109.89 in Manokwari, while the lowest was 0.01 percent with CPIs of 106.65 and 105.69 in Maumere and Samarinda, respectively.
Tual City's monthly inflation was ranked 2nd (Ambon City was 50th) in July 2021, Tual City's calendar year inflation was ranked 5th (11th Ambon City), and Tual City was ranked 10th in Indonesia (Ambon City ranked 78th).
Inflation happened as a result of rises in many price indices across a variety of spending categories. The greatest gain was 3.69 percent with a CPI of 114.91 in the Food, Beverage, and Tobacco sector.
Price fluctuations affect 66 different types of goods and services, the majority of which are food, beverages, and cigarettes. Layang fish/momar, tuna/komu fish, mackerel, cassava leaves, selar fish, papaya flowers, long beans, bean sprouts/sprouts, peanuts, and red chilies were the types of goods that contributed the most to the inflation that occurred this month in Tual City, with the highest increases occurring in layang fish/momar, tuna/komu fish, mackerel, cassava leaves, selar fish.
Meanwhile, in July 2021, prices for 24 different items and services fell, with the biggest drops in anchovies, lemons, turmeric, mustard greens, chartered/rental vehicles, kale, galangal, cassava, domestic fuel, and enbal gepe.
