• The rise in a number of price indices across a number of expenditure categories is what caused inflation. The transportation sector saw the largest gain, 5.59 percent, with a CPI of 106.95.
• Price adjustments occur for 100 different products and services, with food, drink, and tobacco making up the majority of these changes. 71 different types of goods and services saw price increases, with air travel, flying fish/momar, clothing, water spinach, anchovies, broiler eggs, red snapper, cost of mobile phone credit, mackerel/lema fish, and rice with side dishes experiencing the highest increases. These goods were also the ones that contributed most to the inflation that occurred this month in Tual City.
• In May 2022, prices fell for 29 different commodities and services, with cayenne pepper, spinach, eggplant, tuna/komu fish, selar fish/kawalinya/palala, papaya flowers, long beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and red chilies seeing the biggest drops.
